HCPA Volunteer
Location: Location of Specific HCPA events
Type of Job: Volunteer
Pay: None
Core Job Responsibilities:
- Handeling money and equipment
- Walking guests to their seats
- Attend pre-show meetings
- Reporting to the Front of House Manager and/or other managers of the field you would be volunteering for
Benefit:
If allowed by the Front of House Manager you may be able to sit and watch the event that you are volunteering at for free. Although this is not guarantee as there may be the instance of a full house and/or safety concerns with you standing in the back of the venue.
We are looking for people to join the HCPA team. HCPA needs help during events in these areas:
- Ticket/Box Office
- Merchandise
- Usher
- Camera Person
- Stage Hand
Education, Experience, and Skills:
Please note that while the below qualifications for this position - and will be given priority - we do not expect any one person to necessarily have the items listed. We highly encourage people with a wide range of education, experience, and skill levels to apply for this position.
- High school degree - required
- College courses
- Previous experience with the field in which you would be volunteering for.
- Strong and detailed-oriented communication, listening, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school degree
- Able to stand for half an hour
- Lift objects that way 50 lbs or more
